Promethean Amnesia
Float through Saturn's rings hear the voice of God. The sounds leave silhouettes and vapor trails through my soul. Petting the dog star I realize Ive come too far. No turning back from this atmospheric heart attack. I know too much. They told me so. They watered my brain so it can grow. Pushing the limits my skull will allow the time is now. Coiled to strike I show my teeth. They were a gift to me. A parting gift left by Mercury. I travel and touch the stars. My fingers burn but no signs of scars. Pain is the message. Love is the means. See the sun as she burns and twirls and takes everything with her. Arms extended at full reach I watch it all from Jupiter's beach. I dig my hand into the sand where I stand looking for what used to be. What once again will be when my soul breaks free. Smash me into a billion little specks to rejoin the great beginning. Enchanted by the sound of a million supernovas singing. Their spectacular burning demise are captured in my eyes. They whisper to me softly, "Death is bought everyday, watch as we sell it back". An orgasmic flash of light surrounds all cosmic creation and illuminates every part of my imagination. Mars covers me in red because she knows my face. This is the place where I first learned anything can be burned. Everything is paper. Solid to ash to dust to vapor. If you could only see your face from outer space like I do now. A billion monkeys searching for the biggest sticks to wave as they try to apply their bully tactics. But Venus has no care she's always been there. She saw you born, she'll watch you die I know that she will never cry. I climb onto the brightest star and her fire licks my face. She strips me bare and sits me down. Points. Out. the greatest pain I ever felt. The greatest joy. I plummet back. I can't remember
